Salamat

Salamat is five years old. He stays with his family in a rented house in Sangam Vihar. He has two sisters and one brother. His father is a fruit seller. Both his parents are uneducated. His father’s income is very low. Salamat’s father cannot meet all the needs of his family. They face the challenges of life every day.
Salamat’s father decided to educate his children but he did not know where to send them. He came to know about the HOPE Worldwide's education center since his brother's children were also studying in the same school. Salamat studied joined nursery class in the Tigri branch, but when G4S started the Shiksha school, he was transferred from Tigri. His parents were the first to fill the forms and send their child as they have complete trust that their child will be taken care of including dress and books. Salamat comes to class regularly.

A hot meal everyday

The children enjoy eating the nutritious food. Many kids are from very poor families who cannot afford such good food. The midday meal helps the children to be healthier of course but it also helps them to concentrate better in class.

Beginning of G4's Shiksha School

On March 2 2010, 60 students entered the new Shiksha School. 30 in Kindergarten and 30 in the 1st standard. Students now attend classes in this beautiful new building. They receive a first class education, are provided with beautiful uniforms, a nutritious midday meal, all in bright and colourful classrooms.

HOPE worldwide are very grateful to G4S for opening this brand new school. Now more children from Sangam Vihar can enjoy a wonderful learning experience.
